Xtra/vision FAI Schools 5-a-side in NEW ROSS

The Xtra/vision FAI Schools 5-a-side Finals in New Ross were held in Ross Celtic’s grounds on Thursday, April 29:

46 teams from 19 local primary schools contested the games with many fine individual and team performances displayed:

In the Girls “A” Schools Final Rathnure defeated Courtnacuddy 2/0 while in the Girls “B” Schools competition Kennedy Park “A” emerged victorious over Kennedy Park “B” on a 1/0 score line:

In the Boys “A” Schools Final Raheen completed an undefeated day with a 1/0 win over St Leonards and in the Boys “B” Final the Rathnure boys emulated their girl’s team by defeating St Canice’s 3/1:

All the winning teams now progress to the South East Finals in Gorey on May 13 to challenge winners from Gorey, Wexford and Wicklow for a place in the Leinster Final:
