Rosses Community School, Dungloe 3-0 St Kilian’s DSD, Clonskeagh
Ellie Mae Ward (7, 38), Ellla Campbell (10)
ROSSES COMMUNITY SCHOOL, DUNGLOE saw off the challenge of St. Kilian’s DSD, Clonskeagh in the FAI Schools First Year ‘B’ Girls National Cup Semi Final in Monaghan United FC last Thursday, May 8.
Eibhlín Ní Fhearraigh’s side had a comfortable win to seal another Cup Final appearance for the school which saw them lift the same National title three years ago.
The Dungloe girls went one up after seven minutes when Ellie Mae WARD’s strike was too powerful to handle as it sneaked past Clarke at the near post.
Dungloe doubled their tally three minutes later when Ella CAMPBELL rifled the bottom corner from just inside the box.
Rosses Community School went into the break with that two goal cushion.
Ellie Mae WARD grabbed her second and Rosses’ third of the day mid-way through the second half as St. Kilian’s had no response to the stylish Dungloe outfit.
Rosses Community School will entertain St. Jarlath’s College, Tuam in this season’s finale as the Galway side defeated St. Joseph’s College, Borrisoleigh 2-1 in TUS, Athlone on Tuesday, May 6.
The FAI Schools First Year ‘B’ Girls National Cup Final will take place on Wednesday, May 21 in the Showgrounds, Sligo Rovers FC (1.0).
