Hoolahan takes time out for School visit

GAELSCOIL NA RÍTHE | DUNSHAUGHLIN | MEATH were delighted when Norwich City and Republic of Ireland star Wes Hoolahan visited the pupils and staff yesterday evening, November 8.

The excited youngsters, aged between 7 to 13 years, produced some fascinating questions to the Irish legend with the most notable topic being the previous International manager, Giovanni Trapattoni. Wes was very diplomatic in his response as he informed the audience that he was thrilled to spend some quality time with his own kids when he didn’t feature in Trap’s plans then.

Wes was introduced to the schools two current futsal squads that are currently preparing for competition as well as FAI Schools Primary 5s Meath Co-ordinator Paul Holland, who is also Vice Principal in his spare time! Principal Rónán Mac Giolla Ruaidh is new to the School and he was very appreciative of the player taking time out of his hectic schedule to engage with the children in the classroom.

Wes was surprised by the fantastic reception awarded to him from parents, staff and pupils of the All Irish School, who all wished him well for the crucial game against Austria on Saturday #COYBIB
