The Phoenix Centre in Carrickmacross will play host to the Post Primary Schools Ulster Futsal Finals on Tuesday next, 16 November:
The event will cater for boys and girls in first year only: Each team has progressed through their respective county finals to reach the pinnacle of the FAI Schools Provincial calendar: The competition is very highly regarded with each team eager to take home the accolade of Ulster Champions: A new name will be etched into the record books as neither Champion will be present to defend their title: Last year the Monaghan schools were victories in both categories with Monaghan Collegiate School picking up the boys crown while Inver College in Carrickmacross went on to capture the girls’ title:
The pressure will be on the hosts and newcomers Patrician High School, Carrickmacross and St: Louis Secondary School in Monaghan Town: Both schools will be hoping that home advantage plays an important part:
The Donegal contingency will see St: Eunan’s College, Letterkenny make an appearance in the boys category while the impressive Loreto Secondary School will represent the girls section:
The talented Breifne College in Cavan has both their boys and girls teams competing in the event: The girls’ side qualified last season so they will be hoping for better things this time around:
Inishowen have been invited to participate in the competition this year and will have Buncrana’s Scoil Mhuire and Moville Community College representing the boys and girls sections respectively:
