The Galway Post Primary Schools Boys First Year futsal blitz took place in Ballygar Community Centre on Wednesday 10 November. There were nine teams participating representing seven schools. Those involved in proceedings included Colaiste Mhuire, Ballygar, St. Joseph’s College, The Jes, Colaiste na Corribe, Presentation College, Headford, St. Mary’s College and Galway Community College.
St. Joseph’s College more commonly known as “the bish” emerged victorious after seeing off Presentation College Headford in a nail-biting conclusion to the final in additional time.
St. Joseph’s will now travel to the Connacht Finals to represent Galway in the boys section of the competition on 18 November in the impressive NUIG Sports Centre.
