Football Association of Ireland - STUDENT TRAVELCARD Soccer Scholarship Scheme

STUDENT TRAVELCARD in association with the Football Association of Ireland are proud to announce the introduction of a new Soccer Scholarship Scheme for a former Schools International who has represented his school at Interprovincial and International level and has gone into further education following his leaving certificate:

This year, the prestigious accolade was awarded to Waterford’s Brian Nolan, who is a past pupil of St: Paul’s Community College in the City: Brian played in the Interprovincial series for Munster last year and his performance merited a call up to the International squad where he featured heavily:

Brian completed his Leaving Certificate in June and is now completing a business degree in Waterford IT:

Brian has an International cap at U17 level and was capped for FAI Schools in 08/09 and 09/10:

Nolan is playing with Waterford Bohemians now and enjoying the season ahead:

Brian will be presented with a bursary of €1,000 courtesy of STUDENT TRAVELCARD while availing of the amazing discounts on offer as part of their STUDENT TRAVELCARD:  Nolan will also be given the opportunity to progress his coaching qualifications with free access to the FAI’s Kick Start 1 and 2 Coaching Courses as well as employment on the FAI’s Summer Soccer Camps over the Summer period: He will be awarded a complimentary League of Ireland pass as well as branded FAI gear for the academic year:
