Buntús Initiative

The programme is part of the FAI's grassroots programme which is an integral component of the Association's 5 year Technical Development Plan. Buntus programmes are delivered to Primary School children to participate in football from a young age. Equally the Buntus Programme seeks to encourage primary school teachers to understand the game and to provide them with a basic skill set to manage and develop the game with confidence in their classes.

The programme which includes a comprehensive kit bag of equipment and training aids for teachers is delivered by the FAI RDO's nationwide.

The FAI Buntus Programme is part of the broader ISC Schools Initiative which works with the LSPs to encourage participation of young people in all sports.
